Teach your dog to be well behaved at home and in public. We offer all levels of instruction from puppy through advanced training with the use of positive methods and techniques. At the Dogs Den we will help you to develop a relationship with your dog based on love and trust, not fear. Who gets a dog to have a badly behaved one with bad manners? With all the new laws regarding dog behaviour in public( not just Pit Bulls) it is just not worth taking the chance of losing your beloved pooch because of bad behaviours that could have been prevented through good training and socializing. The most common reasons why people give up their dogs are due to bad manners like barking, resource guarding, destructive chewing, jumping up and housebreaking as well as more severe behaviours such as aggression towards other dogs, children and adults. Many of these behaviours can be corrected or prevented through good training and development of proper social skills. At the Dogs Den Learning Center, we offer obedience dog training where the whole family can attend. It is not realistic to have only one handler when there are other people in the household that the dog must listen to. We recommend that everyone that is involved in the training of your dog attend classes if possible. Consistancy will be very important to your training. All of our courses are filled with clear instruction, demos, obedience exercises and social exercises to aid in your success. You will learn about dog behaviour to better understand why your dog does the things he/she does and to know what to do to correct the bad behaviours and reinforce the good. We offer specialized training for dogs dealing with social and aggression issues. All of our training uses positive reinforcement techniques and methods. Our belief is that you don't need to use aversive methods to train a dog or to correct bad behaviours. The Dogs Den offers Doggy Daycare, monday to friday from 6:00am til 6pm. A great place for your dog to spend their day. They will play with other dogs in our large indoor space, take group walks in the area, and even do a little training. Obedience Teach your dog to be well behaved at home and in public. A trained dog is a good dog and will have a loving home for life. Every dog no matter what age or breed has the ability to learn anything you want to teach from household manners to obedience skills and even tricks. Like a child, dogs need to be taught how you would like them to behave. - The Dogs Den Learning Center offers group classes where the whole family can attend and learn. - Specialized training for dogs with aggression/ social issues. - Puppy through advanced level learning. - Summer Outdoors course\ - Flyball - AKC Good Citizen Testing - All training uses positive methods and techniques. Doggy Daycare Program Doggy Daycare is the place where dogs can play, socialize, learn and have fun. Daycare is great for any dog but is especially useful if you don't want them to stay at home alone while you work or for dogs who are being destructive at home, bothering the neighbours with barking, don't get enough daily socializing or exercise, need constant supervision like young puppies or are dealing with separation anxiety. We are a kennel free daycare. We suppy beds, blankets, and open door crates for napping. Napping is important to reduce chance of injury. Dogs are supervised at all times to ensure proper play. The dogs at daycare enjoy socializing with each other, playing with toys and fetch among other fun and exciting activities.. We do not rotate play time. All dogs are out all the time. The Puppy Social is for all puppies 6 months or younger who are up to date with their vaccinations. Please call or email to let us know you will be attending so we can keep track of the number of puppies that will be here and please bring your vaccination records with you to verify that your puppy is up to date for their age. Socializing and learning how to play nice with other dogs and people are very important for a young puppies growth. Come out, have fun and meet others that are going through the same puppy experiences as you. An instructor will be available to answer your questions. Puppies may be split into size groups for safety. Sign up for classes at the puppy social and receive $10.00 off your course All Dogs Social We are going to have our monthly social for all dogs on . Our socials have been such a great success that we decided to hold them monthly as we do with our puppy socials. Dogs must be social with other dogs and up to date with their vaccinations. If you have an older dog with potty issues or are getting a puppy soon and want to prepare, no problem. Bring your pups along with you. Social Behaviour Problems Seminar will cover topics on aggression with dogs and/or humans, fears, resource guarding, separation anxiety, etc. Find out what options you have for a dog with social issues.
